Can Teg-Tab’s be used under seismic restrictions?
When used with the Armstrong BERC or USG ACM7 clip, the Teg-Tab becomes essentially cosmetic and is not subject to seismic load requirements. Only when used IN PLACE of a seismic clip, requiring rivets, are Teg-Tabs subject to seismic code requirements. Read the report on Seismic Capacity testing.

No, Teg-Tabs snap into place and stay in place. Riveting may be necessary for seismic code requirements, in which case, rivet right through the tab.
